Come to the zoo for enjoyment and recreation and leave with even more: a better understanding of the world's endangered wildlife and the increasingly threatened habitats where animals live. |
The zoo's Scott Neotropic Fund provides funding for conservation efforts throughout Latin America and the Caribbean. Since its inception in 1986, nearly 45 grants in 13 nations have been awarded, providing support for young conservation biologists working in their native countries. Further support of vital wildlife research comes through Lincoln Park Zoo's Dr. Scholl Science Fellowships. Through an annual grant from the Dr. Scholl Foundation, five fellowships are offered each year for undergraduate and graduate research projects at the zoo. | |
